Flutist and Educator, Carol Hohauser is a National Recording Artist with Radio New Zealand, having won a Mobil Award for a recording of Debussy’s Sonata for Flute, Viola and Harp.  She has toured and recorded with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and as a soloist and chamber musician.  She has lectured in flute performance, chamber music, woodwind methods and music education at the New Zealand School of Music. Carol earned a doctorate in music and music education from Teachers College, Columbia University, where she has been a teaching assistant in flute performance. Her interest in new music has led to the commissioning and performing of new works internationally, notably in Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Germany and Russia.
